As an alum of either Red Hook or Clinton, you owe your amazing CRS experiences to the Louis August Jonas Foundation (LAJF). LAJF operates the two CRS camps in Red Hook and Clinton and have done so, since its respective openings in 1930 and 1989.

Further to the management of the two camps, LAJF administrates a comprehensive alumni program, which also includes the alumni of the CRS camp in Stendis, Denmark. The camp in Stendis is operated by the George E. Jonas Foundation (GEJF) and remains independent from LAJF except in relation to the administration of alumni. The entire alumni database currently holds more than 5,000 individuals from more than 90 countries. Among these are severals business, academic, political and humnaitarian leaders, who work to create positive change around the world.

The LAJF foundation was founded by Geoorge Edward Jonas (commonly known as "Freddie") and named the foundation after his father Louis August Jonas. The Foundation is managed by a CEO, and goverend by a bouard of directors, many of which are alumni of CRS. For the complete history of LAJF, please visit the subpage "History."

For more than three quarters of a century LAJF has been committed to execution of "Freddie's" vision through the running of the summer program CRS and cultivating enlightened young leaders for a better world. Rather than merely focusing on you while at camp, LAJF also extends its help to you after you return home from the 8 weeks at camp. These activities involve, e.g:

- GEJ Scholarship Program, for CRS alumni

- ARISE (Alumni Resurgence Inspiring Service and Engagement), for alumni initiated humanitarian-oriented projects

- Sundial, publication of the official CRS magazine
